NEW CHROME PONY BADGE- New 2010 Mustang prominently features a redesigned Mustang pony badge. The redesign features a larger, more chiseled Mustang that holds its head higher and looks forward. As an icon for the vehicle overall, the horse's sinewy, angular design cues are carried throughout the vehicle's new design. Badge comes in Bright Chrome on Mustang V6 and Black Chrome on Mustang GT.

 

MODERNIZED MUSTANG MUSCLE MEETS CLEAN, SPORTY DESIGN- Ford designers approached each classic Mustang design element with a contemporary vision to modernize the vehicle's appearance. The iconic Mustang grille, the "hockey stick" side lines, the hop up into the rear haunch, the quarter-glass window, the three-bar tail lamp and the center-mounted faux gas cap were all reconsidered to give the new car even more presence and character. As a result, New 2010 Mustang squats on its haunches with a clean, sporty design that looks smart and efficient.

 

NEW 17”, 18” AND 19” CAST-ALUMINUM WHEEL DESIGNS- Seven new wheel choices are available for the New 2010 Mustang lineup. 17-inch Painted Aluminum wheels come standard on Mustang V6. 19-inch Premium Painted Luster Nickel Aluminum wheels are optional on Mustang GT Premium.

 

LED SEQUENTIAL TAIL LAMPS- Sequential tail lamps - a distinctive feature during the 1960's - now adorn Mustang as a standard feature. These unique tail lamps fire sequentially, inside to out, to register turn indication within three individual red signal chambers. Using modern technology, each signal uses one light-emitting diode (LED) lamp to provide sharp style as well as bright performance.

 

BODY-COLOR EXTERIOR SIDE-VIEW MIRRORS- Aerodynamic, body-color exterior side-view mirrors come standard on New 2010 Mustang GT, Mustang GT Premium and with the Mustang Pony Package.

 

HIGH INTENSITY DISCHARGE (HID) LAMPS- For an enhanced sense of style while driving at night, High Intensity Discharge (HID) lamps are now used inside New 2010 Mustang jeweled-round headlight lenses.

 

POWER DOME HOOD- Redesigned inside and out, New 2010 Mustang features an angular, sharp-creased power dome hood that emphasizes the power of the muscle it's covering, while overhanging the black grille's forward lean to give a look of aggression.

 

GLASS ROOF- Get a panoramic feel of a convertible while maintaining the legendary aggressive style of Mustang Coupe. The available glass roof is constructed of laminated safety glass that includes a thin layer of vinyl sandwiched between two pieces of glass to maintain excellent interior acoustics and quietness, and it comes with a tint to protect the interior fabric and a manual roller blind shade for privacy or to block the sun if desired.

 

INTERIOR

NEW INTERIOR DESIGN- To ensure New 2010 Mustang affords occupants with a more modern, comfortable, and convenient interior than ever before, Ford engineers completely redesigned the interior and included new features, such as: a seamless, soft-touch fabric wrapped taughtly around a one-piece instrument panel, classic-styled conical gauges on a dynamic instrument cluster, a center-stacked instrument panel and a center floor console with lockable storage. Also new: seat and door trim choices, sew pattern styling, ice-blue instrumentation lighting, increased seat bolstering and map pockets on the back of both forward seats.

 

SMOOTH, SOFT-TOUCH, ONE-PIECE INSTRUMENT PANEL- Ford designers redefined and refined the interior of New 2010 Mustang to achieve new style and enhanced comfort throughout. Updates include the use of a smooth, soft-touch Thermoplastic Olefin skin across a one-piece instrument panel and optional leather-wrapped steering wheel. The effect created is one of cleanly designed custom comfort and warmth that fits you the way a leather racing glove grips a fist.

 

NEW BRIGHT ALUMINUM ACCENTS- Appointments inside New 2010 Mustang Premium include a leather-wrapped steering wheel with Aluminum spokes, satin door speaker surrounds, a gloss-painted center stack and console, and Bright Aluminum accents on the dash, pedal covers, scuff plates, and shifter knob. All of which come standard on Premium arrays.

 

COLOR-COORDINATED LEATHER-TRIMMED BUCKET SEATS- The interior of New 2010 Shelby GT500 features the coolest of seats ever: leather-trimmed, stripe-stitched buckets that are color-coordinated with the vehicle's exterior. Not just sharp looking, but made with increased seat bolstering for comfort and a shape that's purpose-designed to hold the occupant snugly in the seat. Comfy Alcantara suede bolsters are also available.

 

NEW ICE-BLUE LIGHTING- The available Ambient Lighting System lets you select (and change on a whim) the interior lighting color for the footwells, cupholders, and door sills inside your Mustang. Seven ambient colors are available - purple, blue, orange, red, white, green and new ice blue. Then there's MyColorTM, which lets you select one of 125+ custom colors for your instrument cluster. You can set the MyColor hue to an accent color for your instrument cluster or set it to match the Ambient Lighting System color. You choose. Standard on V6 Premium and GT Premium.

 

PREMIER TRIM PACKAGE STITCHING- The Premier Trim with Color Accent Package for 2010 Mustang GT Premium features leather-trimmed bucket seats with stitching that gives each seat the appeal of exquisite custom detail. Seat color / stitching choices include: Charcoal Black / Grabber Blue Accent, Charcoal Black / Cashmere Accent, and Brick Red / Cashmere Accent.
CRAFTSMANSHIP- ATTENTION TO DETAIL- Get inside new 2010 Mustang and you'll ease into its refined interior. With its fine interior appointments and high-end cockpit, this new pony provides a pleasing environment for indulging in the simple pleasure of sports car driving. The use of seamless soft-touch Thermoplastic Olefin skin across the new one-piece instrument panel and new seat sew styles creates a tailored appearance and a feeling of cool comfort throughout.

 

TECHNOLOGY

AVAILABLE SYNC® WITH NEW 911 ASSIST™ AND VEHICLE HEALTH REPORT- 2010 Mustang offers all the great features of the available voice-activated Ford SYNC® System* -- plus two new features: 911 Assist™ and Vehicle Health Report.

With SYNC you can access your music collection on your MP3 player by genre, album, artist or song title and operate your Bluetooth® phone with simple voice commands.* You can even make music selections through your flash drive by voice command.

SYNC gets a major system upgrade with the addition of 911 Assist. Within seconds after airbag deployment, SYNC uses your cell phone connection you programmed into the system to make a call to a local 911 emergency operator. A pre-recorded message will then play when the call is answered, and you'll be able to communicate with the 911 operator.†

Along with 911 Assist™, SYNC will offer a Vehicle Health Report feature. SYNC gathers information from the vehicle's control modules and transmits it through the cell phone connection you programmed into the system to Ford by way of an 800-number. You can receive these health reports free of charge by e-mail or text-message alerts.

 

AVAILABLE VOICE-ACTIVATED NAVIGATION SYSTEM WITH SIRUIS TRAVEL LINK™- The available Navigation System with SIRIUS Travel LinkTM integrates several functions and displays them on an easy-to-use 8-inch, touch-screen display*. Features include voice-recognition destination entry, climate control and SIRIUS Satellite Radio. What's more, the navigation system's text-to-speech function conveniently calls out street names while the driver's en route to a destination. The integrated DVD player is capable of reading CD-Audio, MP3 CDs, DVD, DVD-Audio and DVD-ROM (for digital map updates). A 10 gigabyte music jukebox function stores more than 150 hours of music. The screen can even be customized with personal photos.

ADVANCETRAC® ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL- 2010 Mustang comes standard with anti-lock brakes and AdvanceTrac® electronic stability control and anti-lock brakes to give you more confidence and control behind the wheel under slippery road conditions. AdvanceTrac uses sensors to detect and measure yaw, or side-to-side skidding conditions, by monitoring the vehicle's speed, throttle position and steering wheel angle. When AdvanceTrac senses wheel slippage, it reduces engine torque and applies the brakes as needed. AdvanceTrac can be run on or off with the V6 engine. In the GT, AdvanceTrac, can be run in on, off or Sport mode, which allows drivers to push it more while still retaining control.

 

DUAL-ZONE ELECTRONIC AUTOMATIC TEMPERATURE CONTROL- Convenient Dual-zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (EATC) is available to allow the driver and front passenger to set individual temperatures for complete comfort.

 

EASY FUEL™ CAPLESS FUEL FILLER SYSTEM- With the New Mustang Easy FuelTM Capless Fuel Filler System, fill-ups are quick and easy while eliminating the potential to drive with a missing or improperly installed gas cap. The industry-exclusive feature also helps to reduce smog-forming evaporative emissions. When fueling is completed and the fuel pump nozzle is removed, the system automatically seals shut.

 

AVAILABLE REVERSE CAMERA SYSTEM- The available Reverse Camera System is activated when the Mustang is shifted into reverse to provide a clear view behind the vehicle. A small camera mounted within the decklid spoiler provides a video image that's displayed in the self-dimming rearview mirror or in the navigation screen (on Mustang models equipped with navigation). The screen image includes an industry-first centerline and colored guides giving the driver a better perspective of the vehicle's center point and periphery. The rearview camera system is optional on the V6 Premium and GT Premium arrays.

 

HEATED SEATS- Enjoy the warm comfort of heated seats inside the front row of 2010 Mustang GT Premium with the optional Comfort Package. Each seat offers two levels of switch-selected heat.

PERFORMANCE

4.6-LITER SOHC V8 ENGINE- The 4.6-liter three-valve V8 engine for New 2010 Mustang benefits from horsepower gains (up to the present 315hp with 325 lb.-ft. of torque) achieved by the addition of a cold-air induction system pioneered through Ford Racing Technology. The intake is tucked behind the driver-side headlamp, mounted in an air box that's specific to the Mustang. Extensive sealing modifications ensure cold air from the front of the Mustang feed the engine. The redline for the V8 engine is increased 250 rpm to 6,500 for 2010, and revised calibration ensures the customer fully feels these changes. What's more, the 4.6-liter, three-valve SOHC V-8 engine is the most-accessorized engine in the marketplace. The engine is mated to a smooth-moving standard five-speed manual transmission. A responsive, tight, five-speed automatic transmission is also available.

HANDLING UPGRADES- Looking to upgrade the handling on your 2010 Mustang? Consider the options: 1) the 3.73 Rear Axle Package with a performance 3.73 axle ratio, recalibrated electronic stability control, and front dual piston calipers with performance brake pads. 2) the 3.55 rear axle for manual transmissions. 3) great wheel choices: 18" polished aluminum wheels, 19" Bright Machined Aluminum wheels or 19" Premium Painted Luster Nickel Aluminum wheels.

 

SPORT MODE- Get this ... On 2010 Mustang GT Premium, the AdvanceTrac® Electronic Stability Control System includes unique calibration that allows more spirited driving when the AdvanceTrac system is enabled.

 

4.0-LITER SOHC V6 ENGINE- While offering up signature Mustang growl and might, the standard 4.0-liter SOHC V6 powerplant for New 2010 Mustang pumps 210 horsepower and 240 pounds-feet of torque; gusto that gets you going where you need to go-fast. The engine is mated to a smooth-moving standard five-speed manual transmission. A responsive, tight, five-speed automatic transmission is also available.

 

SHAKER AUDIO SYSTEMS- The optional 1,000-watt Shaker Audio System includes 10 premium Audiophile® speakers with four subwoofers -- two door-mounted and dual 500-watt thumpers in the trunk -- and a six-disc, in-dash CD changer with MP3 capability. The available Shaker 500 includes two door-mounted subwoofers, eight speakers and a six-disc, in-dash CD changer with MP3 capability. This 500-watt system is standard on Premium models, unavailable on the V6 coupe and optional on all other models.

 

OPTIONAL AXLE UPGRADES- 2010 Mustang GT and Mustang GT Premium vehicles offer enhanced performance options, including axle upgrades. Choose the 3.73 Rear Axle Package, which comes with a performance 3.73 axle ratio, front dual piston calipers, performance brake pads, and recalibrated electronic stability control (package not available with glass roof). Or go for performance features of the 3.55 rear axle ratio (available with the manual transmission only).

 

2010 SHELBY GT500- The muscle behind the New 2010 Shelby GT500 is a supercharged and intercooled 5.4-liter 32-valve V8 engine that's capable of delivering 540 horsepower and 510 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is mated to a quick-shifting and smooth Tremec 6-speed manual transmission. SVT performance-tuned suspension components, unique 18-inch bright machined-aluminum wheels with SVT center cap (convertible) or 19" premium painted wheels (coupe), and sport bucket seats with leather seating surfaces are additional features that push this spectacular vehicle to the forefront of the herd.
